What is Sophia Consulting and Integration?

Sophia Consulting and Integration is a limited liability company (LLC) created under the non-profit organization Common Thread. Sophia is a security and telecommunications consulting and integration company located in Birmingham, Alabama. Perhaps the thing that sets us apart the most from other companies is why we do what we do. We are genuinely invested in our work, our clients, and, most notably, our employees and in serving people in our area and beyond. Furthermore, our commitment and passion drives us to create long-lasting partnerships with our clients and even with other competing companies.

The mission of Sophia Consulting and Integration

Our mission is to leverage the wisdom to serve our customers and generate opportunities for the under-served people of our city. We seek to serve all we encounter with care, generosity, excellence, and integrity. Since a bachelor’s degree is not needed to pursue this career, it is more of a desirable job for those who may not have been fortunate enough to seek secondary education. Training for this job can be done through hands-on learning, job shadowing, mentorship, and other opportunities made possible through donations made to the company through fundraisers supported by Common Thread.

Meet
Keemarius

This month, we want to spotlight our Spring semester intern, Keemarius Thomas. Keemarius is 17 years old and a Birmingham native. He is finishing his Junior year at Build UP. Keemarius wants to utilize his skills in coding, programming, and computer building to join the technology field when he graduates. In his free time, Keemarius enjoys go-kart racing, laser tag, skateboarding, and appreciating the scenery around him. He has experience in construction, landscaping, blueprint reading, and real estate. When asked about his experience as an intern with us this semester, Keemarius said he has learned the importance of communication with customers and how technology can be applied to daily life. We have truly enjoyed working alongside this bright young man. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for Keemarius.
